Accomodation

Our home is specially adapted to make life easier for those living with dementia.

The communal areas are on the ground floor and are all within easy reach of each other. There are clear signs to help with navigation and to help maintain independence and to avoid confusion and frustration.

Our sitting rooms offer a variety of seating areas, from the hustle and bustle of the main lounges to the quiet and cosy cottage lounge.

Sitting in the conservatory gives good views of the garden and the world going by, especially on market day when the town comes alive. The garden is secure and specially designed with raised beds to allow everyone to help with the gardening and to get their hands dirty if they want to. On warm days we open up all the french windows to let the garden in.

The dining room is light and airy with a serving hatch through to the kitchen so you can see what the cooks are up to and get the appetising smells of homely cooking wafting through. There is always a choice of main meal, special diets are catered for and for those that prefer, meals can be served in their rooms.

Our bedrooms are all ensuite and are furnished to a high standard although we do encourage you to bring in personal furniture and mementoes. This will help you settle in and feel at home as quickly as possible. A personalised picture on each door aids orientation and if you want we will decorate your room in a colour of your choice. We have two well appointed double rooms which may be available for a couple or for those that like company.

A call bell system ensures that help and assistance is always at hand and every room has a TV point, telephone socket and there is wi-fi internet throughout the home. For added peace of mind a modern fire detection system and a sprinkler system has been installed.

Assisted bathing facilities are conveniently located on each floor and 2 of our baths have a hydro-spa . As well as having therapeutic benefits this can be great fun with bubbles and laughter everywhere!
