19 Mar Movie Afternoon and Musical Bingo
Who said a virus would bring us down? We might be locked inside but that hasn't stopped the fun and games at Woodspring House. It was movie afternoon so we watched Dirty Dancing. There was a lot of singing and everyone enjoyed the music. The ladies in particular enjoyed the main man, Mr. Swayze and his handsome good looks and great moves. We also had time to play musical bingo with some classic tunes from the eras. Which sparked a sing-a-long.
16 Mar Betty’s birthday and Fair-trade fortnight
Last week before we closed our doors to visitors we celebrated Betty's birthday. Karl came in to entertain and Betty greatly enjoyed the celebration. We also had a special chat club in honour of fair-trade fortnight. We discussed cocoa beans, how and where they are produced and grown and the sad reality that most cocoa growers live in poverty - so buy fair-trade! We watched a video and did some chocolate tasting (yum!). Chilu also showed us how to wear a headscarf in the African style and some people had a go on the drum.
